Rep Power: 0 | I want to start giving Bonus Bucks for product and service purchases but don't know what a good ratio is. Also, those of you that are doing this, do you let them cash in any amount or do they have to build up (for example) $5 before using them? Any ideas on how to structure this would be helpful! |

Rep Power: 25 | Or just use the bonus bucks in the sales pitch, and don't bring it up if they forget. You could say "Each time you purchase $30 or more on product, you earn 2 Bonus Bucks!!! or advertise EARN FREE TANS !!!! ... Say your upgrade bed is 4 bucks... Bingo, free tan. Rep Power: 0 | I currently use a punch card and believe me, they know they are earning something. I want to switch to something tracked in the computer because I think it will be easier. What do you think about charging a sign-up fee? For a flat $5 they can elect to earn the bucks and people that aren't interested won't be able to cash them in. I don't suppose there is a way to keep the bucks from going on the account of those that don't pay the $5 is there? Thanks again! |

Rep Power: 25 | hi tcn813: I have helped close to 200 salons implement Helios. The most common ratio for those using Bonus Bucks is .01 or .02 (1% or 2%). About 20% of these salon use Bonus Bucks - some VERY effectively. It is common for some salons to only offer Bonus Bucks on certain services or products. Currently in Helios there is no way to only accumulate Bonus Bucks on certain (qualifying) clients. All clients that purchase items that are coded in Sales Codes for Bonus Bucks will accumulate them. Once accumulated they are available for use as a Method of Payment. Hope this helps. |

Rep Power: 0 | This is an idea that sounds better than what it is. Other posters have said it--customers will forget about your explanation of bonus bucks ten seconds after you give it. Then it's up to you remind your customers about their bonus bucks that have accrued and it's always a surprise to them (they would have bought the product or service without it). So you end up giving away your money; that's right, go in your pocket and hand over the money. I've tried it on two occasions but never again. A royal P.I.T.A. |
