I have a multi user version of Helios 8 on two computers in the salon. I have a Tmax Manager Plus hooked up to set the beds. We can only set beds from the computer that is physically connected to the Tmax. We can use the other computer to register new clients and make sales but then have to eventually set their bed using the other computer. At one time I thought I could set beds from both if I installed another Tmax Manager but I don't remember where I got that info. Does anyone have any insight? I do not have any plans to upgrade to Helios Version 9. Thanks, Tammy

tcn813,

You can use Helios 8 with two T-Max timers. You just need to have one connected to each computer. One T-max must be set as the Master and the other as a Slave.

If you have Helios version 9.4 or higher, you can use just one T-Max Manager connected to the main Helios computer AND it's actually even more reliable than using two timers, not to mention the fact that you don't have to have another T-max Mgr in place. On the other hand, ideally you should have an extra T-Max Mgr in storage on hand just in case of a failure at the worst possible time. Like the middle of busy season!

I'm curious why you're not planning to upgrade to Helios version 9. It is a superiour product, like most updates, and really affordable for less than $35 per month.

Either way, hope this helps.
