Rep Power: 0 | How do you set up for clients who share pkgs (sessions or minutes). Also I had a customer return an unopened bottle of lotion who wanted credit for it and I don't know what is the best way to set up credits or returns. Any ideas or suggestions would be great. Thanks ! |

Rep Power: 0 | ubtan2, There's really no automatic way to share pkgs in Helios since it is, by nature, a client based point-of-sale software that links everything back to an individual client. If you want to share packges, which I don;t recommend, (but that's another issue entirely) you would either need to set up a code that would issue minutes or sessions without charge to the "second" client or use Master Edit to alter the clients' profiles. If you set up a code to do it, I suggest password protecting the code for security's sake. Gary McAdams FCA Consulting 847.757.3727 gary@mcadams.com |

Rep Power: 0 | ubtan2, On your return question; the best way to do that would be just to void the sale since the bottle was unopened. Just pull up that client's point-of-sale screen and press . Then highlight the product in question and press If it is a transaction more than a day old, you will need a password to void it. Once you void the product, it will be returned to inventory. Rep Power: 24 | dont do refunds on lotion, you cant resell it you could never know if it was tampered with and to resell it is not a good idea. dont split packages the price is based on number of sessions sold to 1 client. What will uyou do when 5 people want to split a 10 sesion pack......i have been there that stopped it all, then they all said they didnt use all 10 session and there should be more. |

Rep Power: 107 | Sharing a package is not a good idea since, as mentioned earlier the prices are usually based on a certain number of beds to one person. What we do to discourage this is charge a "transfer" fee is someone wants to give any or all of their sessions to another client. We try not to transfer sessions unless it involves someone who can not or will not be using the remainder of what they have left. |

Rep Power: 25 | I agree with the undesirability of allowing a client to share their package, but I have many clients that do allow this. The best alternative to Master Edit is to set up a Sales Code to "adjust" or "transfer" package values. On the Pkg/Memb tab set the appropriate accumulators to "V" for variable and enter the maximum quantity you wish to allow to be adjusted in both the Amount Subtract and the Amount Add columns for each accumulator that you set to "V" variable. Then this sales code is "sold" in the POS operation of a client, you will be prompt for the "Time Quantity" for each accumulator that you set to "V" variable. This will add or subtract from the accumulator value. Using this approach you can subtract some sessions/minutes/points from on client and add them to another. You may wish to set a Password on this sales code if you do not wish to allow all staff to process this type of transaction, and/or you can Flag the transaction to highlight same on the Daily Sales Detail report. If you are going to charge a transfer fee, I suggest you use a separate sales code for this. Incorporating the transfer fee into the sales code above is possible BUT it gets a little difficult, because the system will multiply the price enter by the last variable quantity that you enter in the accumulators. Hope this help |

Rep Power: 0 | We allow clients to share packages, we tell them that this is another way that we provide exceptional customer service! No problems with this at all, spouses share, parents share with their kids; it keeps them coming back since we are the only ones in the area to offer this service. We run Helios and do the "share codes" a little differently than you suggested. We use Give Regular (GR) and Take Regular (TR) The give code is entered on the client that has the package and automatically takes one credit off of the accumulator. Then the client that is using the tan has the TR entered onto their screen, hit enter and this brings up the "bed screen". We use the same codes for Ultra (GU & TU)and VHR as well (GV & TV). Team Members have to make sure the first client indeed has enough to be shared and that they are entering the proper codes (ie. a GR and a TU is wrong). Then at the end of the shift with closing out their register they print a Daily Sales Report with Detail and make sure the codes are all matched. If not it has to be changed by management. This is something that management must keep up on every day to insure that tans were not used that could not be given due to "Time Quantity". But overall it works great and again, clients love it that they can share their tans. Any of the lower two levels can be upgraded by paying a fee or using the appropriate amount of credits. Keep in mind that you can only take what was given. If a regular was given and the client wants to use a VHR then the codes are still just GR and TR. When the bed # is entered the computer will automatically charge the appropriate upgrade fee. Did any of this make sense? lol -Tommie- |
