REWIRING THE SALON AND HAD A QUESTION REGARDING DAISY CHAINING. THE OLD WIRING WAS ALL GROUPED TOGETHER AT ONE POINT WITH A WIRE COMING FROM EACH BED ALL GROUPED TOGETHER LINKED TO MAIN WIRE CONNECTING TO TIMER SYSTEM. WHEN I DAISY CHAIN DOES THERE NEED TO BE SOME KIND OF BLOCK ON THE END OF THE CHAIN? I HAVE RAN A MAIN WIRE TO BED 1-THEN 2 & SO ON. THEY ARE NOT IN NUMERICAL ORDER AND IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THIS IS OK. AM I CORRECT? ALSO- IS THERE A LIMIT OR A PROPER LENGTH OF LINE TO USE FROM THE MAIN BOARD TO THE FIRST BED? THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP. TIRED AND READY FOR CANCUN!

daisy chain. 4 conductor, flat satin cable crimped with RJ22 ends straight through pinning. i recommend you either get the cable from me, or applied digital. if you have purchased new T3a's, each one came with 50 feet. don't cut it, don't splice it. if you need a longer length, get an RJ22 T-connector.

it doesn't matter about numerical order. whatever physical layout you need to use is fine. for example, if it is shorter cable wise for you to run 1, 3, 5, then swing around and pick up 6, 4, 2...that works. the units can be programmed to be any room number you want later.

as far as i know, there is no limit to the length anywhere in the chain. but remember, don't cut or splice! if you need a longer run, you can call and i'll make you up one in a custom length, or send you a t-connector with the RJ22 sized inserts.

oh, and no block at the end of the chain. applied digital fixed the managers and manager plus/pro so that there is no longer a need for a terminator.

if you need any help, gimme a call. 800 325 3255 ext. 152...or email me at teri@fstanning.com.
