REPLACING INTELLITAN TIMER FROM SUNVISION 424SL TO T-MAX. PROBLEM! INTELLITAN CONNECTED TO BOTTOM CANOPY BY FOUR PRONG PLUG. NEW WIRE ON T-MAX IS TWO STRAND TINY. IF I SPLICE WIRE COMING FROM BOTTOM CANOPY AND ATTACH - WHICH COLOR GOES TO WHAT? IN CONNECTOR IS A BLACK-GREEN-RED-WHITE. I WAS TOLD TO CONNECT TO #2 & #4. THE BED WILL NOT COME ON. CAN ANYONE HELP ME?

I'm a little confused regarding your application.
Are you replacing the 4-button external timer with a T-Max Manager?
What year was your bed manufactured?

sun ergoline (not sunvision) makes the 424, comes standard with the intellitan 4 button remote. there should be no need for you to replace that timer with the tmax in room timer (either the T1A or the 3A). simply set parameter 27 on the intellitan timer to 1. then set your station address, parameter 5, to the appropriate room number. if there are no problems with the operation of the timer, then that will allow it to communicate with the front desk controller.

however, if the intellitan is shot and you are replacing it with a tmax in order to save a little money...red and black are hot. green ground, white neutral. red and black go into the J3 contact on the back of the T3A, wire nut the green by itself, wire nut the white by itself. neither of them are used.

if that doesn't do it, you may have a relay problem. if its bad, call me. i've got plenty in stock. #01324.
