I saw on tv that to upgrade from win 98 or me to xp will take 3-4 hours or more.
How many people can have windows "actively" running that long without crashing? And that some software and some hardware will not work with it. That this is a big upgrade and was not designed to be backward compatible. That the best advice is to buy a new system with xp already installed. Also that if you have software or hardware bugs making windows crash you will not cure that, that they will prob. get worse. Just what we all want a even crasher version of windows. I hear to that ie will in xp send information back to microsoft every time ie crashes! What more do you need to know. MS knows they have a bad piece of software. Why eles would they put in a auto crash report. Also that media player has copy protection built in, this is so you can't rip cds or even play cds that have the protection installed. The new version can be downloaded as well, I was going to do a online upgrade of media player and you could not deselect the copy protection so I didn't download the upgrade. I wonder if MS and the record industry are all ready in bed together, and it not to our advantage! What have others heard? |
