Kevin,I am using the t-max manager in conjuction with salon explorer. I am wondering if I need to install the t-max software. So far I have not and it seems to be working fine. Also, we have a room that is not yet in use, but will be sooner or later. We have numbered the room as #1 (because of salon layout) and want to have the timer and software recognize this as and empty room and allow us to start our rooms with #2 and have the t-max recognize this. Is there an easy way to accomplish this?

The only reason to load Adnet 2000 is as a backup to Software package. If you have problem talking to the T-Max with the software. You shut it down and try with Adnet 2000. If you can connect with Adnet then you know your problem is in your software. The other reason to have Adnet loaded is to check bed parameters and reload the Manager if needed. Give use a call 417-338-5101 we need some more info. I am not sure I understand the problem. Ask for Steve I will be out of town for the Chicago Trade Show or stop by and see use.Bill HaglerApplied Digital, Inc.Ask for Steve

Im from Sydney Australia and I am a bit confused as to what timing system and software I should be using. Most of this confusion is because the suppliers want me to purchase the entire system from them and do not want me sourcing equipment from other suppliers. They way they are doing this is by not telling me what other timing and software are compatible with the beds i want to purchase.
The beds i am looking at are Hapro E class, Hapro V class and a Soltron S Hot Pepper.
I have been quoted AU$10,000 for a TT5 Tantimer, EMS-Sun software and a computer. Does this price sound excessive ? What other options do i have. I like the idea of the computerised system to track usage and daily sales.
Any help appreciated.
Brent

Re: Welcome to the Timer Forum

What sort of networking protocol do T-Max timers use? Are they using standard TCP/IP conections or did T-Max develop it's own protocols? How do the timers determine the difference between another timer and a tanning bed... how are the beds and timers addressed within the network? What sort of language is used to communicate with the beds?

Re: Welcome to the Timer Forum

We developed our own Proprietary, Copyrighted protocol for communications between the T-Max Manager and the timers in the rooms. Addresses are stored on the timers in the rooms and the T-Max Manager finds them on power up.

Re: Welcome to the Timer Forum

Does a tanning bed have to be connected to a T-Max model A3 timer for it to communicate with a manager?
