Hey Kevin or Dan,I need a little help. It seems that we have a couple of 3a's giving us problems. We have a 4 min count down before the timer turns the beds on . Lately the timer counts down and gets into the tan time before the customer catches it and pushes the start button. We thougt that the emergency stop button was released in the beds but after investigating it that's not so.What would cause the timer not to turn the bed on, and what can I do to fix it? The timers are less than a year old. Thanks in advance.

Tommy,As usual, I have to answer a question by asking yet more questions. First:Does the bed start OK if the START button is pressed before the delay expires?Second: Does this occur every time the delay is allowed to expire (pretty easy to test this one)Third: Are you starting sessions from the Manager, or are you using a Software program? If a program, which one?Now I'll offer a few suggestions, or ideas, before you answer.First:The Manager has 3 different start modes. Start mode(s) 0 & 2 will not start the bed after the delay has expired. The timer will either go to PAUSE and stop, or countdown, but not turn the bed ON until the START button is pressed. If you are using a program, the program will issue one of the three possible start modes. Possibly the start mode is incorrect for these two beds.Start mode 1(commonly called auto-start) is the only mode that starts the beds after the delay expires.Second: If you press the START button, but the bed still does not come ON, does the decimal point start flashing slowly?Does the Manager indicate ON?If you hold down the START button, you should feel, and hear, the timer relay slowly go CLICK, CLICK,CLICK, while it engages/disengages.If this is happening, but the bed still does not turn ON, you have a problem with the bed wiring, the bed contactor, the bed power, or the wiring between the timer and the bed.Hope this helps...I'll check back later.Dan Boone, ADI

I tested them this morning at different time intervals and under different clients names. I actually have three rooms doing this.# 3 want start (sometimes) at 20 minutes#7 want start (sometimes at 10 minutes#8 want start (sometimes)at 20Third: Are you starting sessions from the Manager, or are you using a Software program? If a program, which one?We are using Helios 9.40The only thing we have done differently in the past year is upgrade our helios software. The beds have always been set under the same settings, nothings changed. Thanks

Thanks Dan,I figured it out. After much thinking I determined it to be the cliet computer. When we installed helios 9.4 it gives you the capability to send time to beds from both client and server. The client under systems in helios didn't have "start lamps automatically" checked. We are up and running nowAs always thanks for your quick responses.

Tommy,Thanks for the reply, glad to hear that you found the problem.Your answers will be very helpful as we will likely encounter this difficuly as more salon owners move over to the newer version of Helios. Thanks again,Dan Boone, ADI

Tommy,I loaded Helios 9.4 and had several timer related problems. You may want to keep an eye on this. I have several room that will not accept time from Helios 9.4 I reverted back to Helios 9.2.5 and they run just fine.
