Helios Vs Tan Track

Well, I decided to share my experience. Why, because I was shocked by difference in these two options, Helios and Tan Track.

I started out with Tan Track. Love it. I continually pay the $19.99 per month for tech support "just in case". Well, about a year ago I switched to the new chip card reader. Tan track did away with their card swiper so when I needed to set up a EFT, I would swipe the clients card via the CC processing terminal. This is where the problems started. It would not approve or "give a token" for anyone with a Great Western Bank debit card. After round and round and months of this back and forth between Tan Track, Vantiv and Great Western, it was determined that I had no choice but to switch software companies. I decided my best option because of cost was to go with Helios. Helio costs me $49.99 a month in Tech Support. So an additional $30 a month which I didn't particularly care for but what choice did I have. Anyway, Ive had Helios now for about a month. Let me just say that if you are looking for a great tanning software program, go with Tan Track. TT is so simple and easy to understand. What used to take me two steps with TT now takes me 5. There are so many issues that I can't even begin to list them all. Right now I only see two bonuses. 1 is that I can now set up my EFTs without problems. 2 a get a tech on the phone when I call vs waiting for a call back from TT. Not sure if Helios works really well if you have large salons or multiple locations or what but I would go running back to TT if they would fix their issue. TT is awesome for small salons. Oh, I also forgot that another negative for TT is the CC processing company is Vantive and costs me $$ in fees where as Helios uses Cashback and charges no service charge type of fees. Mine with Vantive were $75/month.

Just sayin', if you're shopping around, Tan Track is AWESOME!!!
