new hire help

I am looking to hire a manager at my place, and am curious what works best when posting for these types of positions. Could you give some advice or pointers to attract good candidates?

We only promote within and will never hire a manager off the street again. Having a person work from the bottom up within your company to learn all the positions not only allows them to learn all the policies and procedures it allows you to ensure they'll represent your company the way YOU want them to. Lastly, you attract the type of people your company exposes. Poorly operated by those with a bad attitude will only attract more of the same.

You want to draw possible candidates to choose from. If you approach your staffing advertising the same as your salon advertising you will get a better response. Make the staffing add fun and engaging. It is also a smart idea to reach out to your data base by way of email and social media. Your tanners are already interested in tanning and working at a salon may appeal to them,. Put enough information in the add to be clear about type of schedule required but not so much it will discourage them before the submit a resume.

This might not be clear if you are not already communicating with your data base to sell your product in a fun and engaging way.
