Marketing, Don't Delay

You want to come out of the gate strong. Making sure that you get those tanners active again. February is the best month for the free tan weekends, Customer appreciation reward cards and other events that will get those tanners back in your salon. It is also very important to follow up with tanners that make purchases showing that you value their business.

For these events to be a success you should have made any price structure changes that will substantially increase sales. Make no mistake, your price structure can have a major impact on consumer spending.

Instead of a free tan weekend, why not make it a whole week of free tanning? In fact, why not do a free tan week every few weeks or even every other week! It'll be great!

My competitor that just closed had free tan Fridays every week. Great idea :)

Keep in mind that a free tan weekend is not just about giving free tanning away. You do promotions during those days only that generate a great deal of cash while kick starting the season. If this is not a good idea for you that is fine but now is when you must reach out to your data base to start the tanning season. It does not only require a promotion. It can be as simple as making contact.

So many of you do not advertise and when you do you send the wrong message.
