Gift Cards and Certificates
 

This is the time of year that you want some of that shopping money to come your way. I know many of you have tried selling gift certificates with little success. this is because you did not make an offer that will get you the gift card and certificate purchase over regular bank cards.

Try this.
Do a BOGO sale for gift certificates.
Establish several priced gift cards such as $30, $50, $75 and $100. With each gift card purchase you get the second FREE.
The free gift card is for a much smaller amount than the card purchased and has use restrictions like can only be used toward regular price packages and products.

You will find yourself selling a great many cards.
Train your staff to offer this promotion to every tanner.

This insures that money is spent at your salon and some are never redeemed.

Always think of ways to increase sales every day. Make sure you promote this by email, social media and in-store.

This does not devalue your product. How you structure promotions will determine how successful they are.
