credit card vs. bank account draft - EFT

It was suggested to me that I should consider getting away from running EFTs through my processing company and doing a bank account draft. I hadn't really thought too seriously about it until I received my account statement the other day. It got me to thinking that I could save myself some money but know it will create a little more work on my part.

I am wondering if any of you do the draft vs. credit processing company.

Thanks for your input.

I have been very interested in this as well. I pay a couple of hundred dollars amount and it does seem like something I should research as well.

Must not be anyone doing it. I contacted my bank to see how to go about it. Mine told me that I can only do them on the 1st and 15th of each month. I will go in next week to sit down and discuss exactly how to do it. It may not be worth the manpower vs. credit card fees.

ACH is the only way to do EFT's. Much fewer charge backs and much cheaper.

We used to do it ourselves through our bank. Worked well but it involves a double bookkeeping system as our POS (Helios), wiil not interface with our bank for drafting.
