I swear, every time this woman comes in she blows up our bathroom. It's not normal. It's like her bowels have been laying in wait to unleash an epic bomb of stink that will disgust everyone who walks in within the next 30 minutes and destroys morale within the store. She kind of half closes the door and sometimes we catch it, sometimes we don't get it right away...then when one of the beds that has a powerful blower fires up its like a sneak attack.

Seriously though. This is a normal middle aged, middle class woman. No reason for this. What should I do? We've had this happen a few times before but never with this level of consistency. Our bathroom may be a little too comfortable. Short of doing things to make customers feel uneasy, splattering chocolate pudding on the walls, throwing a bunch of propane tanks and chemical bottles in corner so they think we are running a meth lab, or sticking a dead fish in the corner, I'm not sure what to do? This has been on my mind for a while. Seriously I am at wits end. It's like a bad surprise when I don't see her use the bathroom and then a bed comes on and sucks the turd vapor right into the lobby.

Any input?

This is what we do in order unless it's someone we want to fire anyway.

1. We've had a worker run and sit on the can pretending to use the toilet during her whole visit based on this bad clients visiting habits. They like it because they get a 30 minute break of texting on the clock.

2. You could put it out of order due to waiting on a plumber for repairs.

3. You could have a FEMALE manager talk to her about it. Tell her you've had other customer complaints that every time they come in at what ever time it smells really bad in YOUR salon. You have a chance of losing this client if you go this route.

4. Lastly, you could just tell her that she has to stop stinking up your salon or find another place to tan.

Hi there! Sadly, we have had almost this exact same situation. middle aged, classy looking woman that unleashed all holy **** in our bathroom at every visit....except to make matters worse, our wonderful client would never FLUSH! We have a small sign asking guests to kindly not flush anything other than toilet paper or the toilet could immediately overflow. (a bit dramatic yes, but it seemed to keep woman from flushing their feminine products and such, which was all we were nicely getting at). However, this woman took it to the extreme and was nervous to flush even her "business" down the toilet. you can imagine the shock when you walk in to that one!

Well anyway, we tried doing the "out of order" trick when we knew she would be coming in. we even put a small frame on the toilet tank with a picture of a humorous meme about forgetting to flush. the not flushing stopped but the consistent "bombs" did not! my girls all chalked it up to thinking she tans on her lunch break to not have to do it at work. Well......somehow my manager got it out of her (no pun intended lol) and it turns out she recently moved in to her boyfriend's house and is too embarrassed to do "that" there and has serious IBS and crohn's disease. so needless to say, we have been treading lightly with the situation and stocked up on some potpourri and sprays. good luck!

Are you guys kidding? This is the big issue of the day? Get some strong plug in scented thingy's, put them in the restroom and get back to work!

Keep in mind, the woman may have a medical issue, if she does and you kick her out, your staff will be working for her next week.

This is not true. Depending on your State you MAY NOT be required to provide a public restroom.

In our State the restroom is a privileged not a right.

My statement had nothing to do with the restroom, I said if you kick them out due to a medical issue, they can sue.

Interestingly she hasn't been in for a couple days, she usually doesn't miss a day. Maybe she found a better restroom
