Re: The "Peach" Corner

Nails and fake eyelashes weren't as popular back then but they are like a necessity now.

Doesn't that stuff come and go, then come back again? Like hair styles and clothing?

You, as a independent salon have to decide whether to be a leader or a follower in your marketplace. I proudly tell my customers that we do not want to get into their back pocket and do not require long term commitments.
You are thinking like a uninformed consumer instead of a well informed business owner. That is your right and it is certainly thinking that is shared by many other salon owners that are equally uninformed. In a decision like this those viewing have the opportunity to listen to all sides of this or any other topic and decide what sounds like an informed business decision. You should not make business decisions based on what you personally like or dislike. A well informed business person makes decisions based on accurate supported information. If the most successful businesses in any industry are doing something that is working in all markets it is supported information. If businesses are failing at an alarming rate in any industry because of things they are not doing that is also supported information.

People can listen to opinions and easily tell what is true and what may be excuses for not doing what might be the smarter choice.

If you do not have spray you do not have to buy a $25K booth, you can buy a much more affordable custom air brush system and attract the largest growing segment of the tanning industry. 60% of consumers can only be reached on their mobile devices and they all spend a great deal of time on social media. It stands to reason that you want to be where these consumers are and it is the most affordable place to advertise.

How hard is this to understand. Does not matter how long you have been in the tanning industry. Tanning and consumers have changed and you have been left behind. If your business is doing well, just imagine how much better it would do if you excepted how things are done today. When the haters are gone you will be replaced by believers. Do not ignore progress.
