Rep Power: 21 | The Minimum Wage The cost of labor going up here in Mass, by 1.00 to 9.00 hour and 1.00 each year for 2 more which will bring it to 11.00 an hour. What are salons doing to cover the cost of labor, I for one raise my prices this pass summer. which I will do again in summer when slow. Another punch in the stomach from government, to put company out of business. |

Rep Power: 19 | Re: The Minimum Wage Now what happens to those already making $11 or $12 per hour? A lot of them will probably not get a bump. But you can bet a lot of businesses will raise their prices. So they are going backwards : their cost of living goes up while their pay stays the same. For that matter everyone who doesn't get an equal pay raise will be going backwards too! Even those nasty 1%ers. |
