Rep Power: 23 | Greed Its amazing how it has destroyed the tanning industrie. I know there are alot of things that have hurt this biz, The derms and such. But , I also believe alot of the harm has come from within. Some where along the line people were nolonger happy with just making a good living. Its not just tanning tho, When I was very young, My dad was a florist. He you to sell hundreds of holiday plants. And I remember by the time I was in my teens, every gas station on every corner were now selling Easter plant. I would love to see a report on how many mom and pop stores have been forced out by wally mart. Or how many mom and pop salons shut down by chains. |

Rep Power: 25 | Re: Greed That is not greed, that is the free enterprise system. If there was no such thing as a free enterprise system you could never get into the game after the first guy. That is only good for the first guy. For everyone else they would scream like crazy if they couldn't get into a business just because it was going to be bad for the first person in. |

Rep Power: 17 | Re: Greed Not greed...business...often misunderstood. Home Depot isn't greedy for opening and forcing mom and pop hardware stores under. In most cases they both survive. I hear yA about chains, but don't feel it's greed. Just another form of business. Differing business models. |

Rep Power: 25 | Re: Greed If you are the customer in the situation you rejoice in how low prices go, if you don't think so then take back that flat screen TV you bought for $29 at WalMart. Just so happens when we all buy the cheap stuff we never think about the old time TV store that was forced out of business. That is the cold hard reality of business though. |
