Rep Power: 12 | EFT Cancellation policy What is your cancellation policy for EFTs. Do you have the customer sign something or do you just do it while they are standing there. I've had a few customers call me a day or two after we processed their EFT that they had cancelled it. I always error on the side of customer service and refund their money today a customer called telling me that she had cancelled her membership but got charged, back on Sept 16th. I told he it was too late to refund and that if she'd told me a day or two later then I could have done something, but now it is too late. She told me that she just got her credit card so just now found out. I have decided that if she comes in to tan tomorrow as she stated, that I will refund for her. Small town and don't want bad press. How do you handle your cancellations? |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: EFT Cancellation policy I usually cancel or refund EFT's as soon as my customer asks... when i sell it to them i always tell them they get out of their EFT easily, no hassle ! BUT... i always try to get them to stay on EFT by offering something to make the EFT valuable again for them. Of course, my client shouldn't have used his EFT that month. I also try to offer credit. In any way my customer leaves happy and as i live in a small town too, i must be fair with my customers. By making it simple to get out of their EFT i make my customers happy and they trust me... never feel tricked into something they can't get out. This way they get back on EFT easily when they need to. If i look back and asks myself the reason why i'm not a client anymore of some businesses, each time it's because i felt tricked or felt squeezed like a lemon 'til it's last drop. Stay fair and honest and asks yourself what you would do if it was one of your friend on the other side This is something working well in my town with my customers because they are loyal and trustworthy (ahem ! 99.5% of them) someone in a big city may find it harder to act like this |

EFT Membership Cancellation Procedure Any EFT membership may be cancelled any time after the first 30 days with a 30 day written notice. To cancel your EFT membership you must present a written notice to SALON NAME and request a copy signed and dated by a salon manager for your records. It is very important you keep your signed receipt as proof that your cancellation letter was received. As a valued customer of SALON NAME you have the option of converting your membership to a week end membership or freezing your membership for up to 6 months for just $5 per month. Upon reactivation of the membership you will receive 100% of your freeze fee in upgrade tans. Remember that the summer months are the most important time to get that beautiful indoor tan. Eliminate the hassle of burning and creating those ugly tan lines. Have the sexiest most beautiful tan in town and wear your SPF sunscreen while outdoors and enjoy your summer. | |

Rep Power: 16 | Re: EFT Cancellation policy I follow advice I got on here- the customer has to COME INTO THE SALON and complete a cancellation form, giving at least 14 days notice. (I actually have it set for 10 days in the computer, but tell the customers 14 days.) This is clearly printed on the agreement which the customer receives a copy of, plus I explain at purchase. When they complete the form, they also receive a copy of that. When a customer calls and says, "I was drafted but I cancelled my membership," the first thing I ask is, "Did you come into the salon and fill out a cancellation form?" When they say no, I inform them that that's the ONLY way we cancel a membership, so they must not have cancelled theirs, but can come in any time to do so. Things have been much smoother since adopting this practice. |

Most all cutomers forgot what they agreed to, when they sign up. So, forget the original contract and deal with what is in front of you, in terms of making a new deal with them. We want most of them to come back and speak well of us until they do. Mark |

I remember that I signed a 2 year contract on my cell phone and with my cable company to get a "Special rate" I also remember that I leased my car for 36 months..... We require a 9 month contract to tan for 19.99...and guess what, people have no problem signing that!
