I am glad so many of you feel the sky is falling.Sure it is not what it use to be,but what is? The attacks on indoor tanning is just a symptom of a very sick government that likes to think it is a free country while it takes as many of those freedoms away.And your new surgeon general is just one sick military puppy who is wetting his pants at the thought of chasing tanning salons around.What an A hole he is.Did you read the 112 page report?Can you even begin to guess how many times the word sunscreen appears in there? How long have the derms been paid to promote sunscreen? And now the fox is guarding the chicken coop. No corruption there.The least they could do is try not to make it so obvious. |

Rep Power: 20 | Re: bad sign I am a pretty good swimmer. The solution is within each operator. Just take a step back and look at your business. Making adjustments based on trends is important. When you never make adjustments, over time your business model gets so far out of whack that it takes a major overhaul to get back on track. I am the one person that says don't give up because there is a solution to your problems. Being successful is not easy, it is hard and you must be on top of things every day. Remember what drew you to this business and get that fire back. |

When there is bad press for UV, promote spray tanning , bad press impact tanning for short periods of time because the consumer has a short memory. People will not stop doing something that they enjoy and makes them feel good. There will always be short term reactions to bad PR but it is quickly forgotten. It is all about being aware and making adjustments. Most of you I would never allow to manage a salon because of the way you react to things. Be like water, if something gets in your way find the best way around it. It is simply overcoming objections like with any sale. I want people that are looking for a solution , not a person that only complains about the problem. Most operators only need an attitude change. | |
