Cool Pricing a High Pressure Bed

Hi everyone, we are entering the world of high pressure tanning and I am looking for information on how to price this unit. We sell single sessions and minute packages in all of our levels of tanning. I will provide the only the 100 min prices and max time sessions for you guys to try and help me price this new bed properly. We are well know in town for being the cleanest, friendliest salon with the newest and best running equipment.

Any help would be appreciated!!!

Level 1 100W Royal Sun Express 32 -
$50.00 for 100 min or $20.00 for a 20 minute session

Level 2 100W Royal Sun 38/3
$90.00 for 100 min or $18.00 for a 15 minute session

Level 3 160W Royal Sun 46/6
$120.00 for 100 min or $19.00 for a 12 minute session

Level 3 160W Royal Sun Focus 50
$120.00 for 100 min or $19.00 for a 12 minute session

OUR LEVEL 4 IS GOING TO BE A MATRIX L33 with a 12 min max so we were thinking something along these lines...

Level 4 Matrix L33
$175.00 for 100 min or $32.00 for a 12 minute session

WHAT DO ALL OF YOU EXPERIENCED SALON OWNERS THINK?

Why are your single sessions for your level 2 and 3 less expensive than level 1?

Also, stop selling minutes as soon as you can.

I've only posted the max session price for our singles. 20 minutes in our level one is like 12 minutes in our level 2. Now 12 minutes in our level 2 is like 8 minutes in our level 3. Also, why stop selling minutes. Only selling single sessions will drive our clients to tan at the other salons (who sell minutes).

A 3 minute session costs you just as much as a 12 minute session. Does your rent go down if they only tan 3 minutes? Do you pay your employee less to clean the bed after a 3 minute session? Customers get this.

Yeah, price structure is confusing, and makes no sense..at least to me. Prices offerings should be clear and concise, ez for a customer to decipher at a glance. Looking at those prices is like looking at a NYC subway map..and selling minutes is OLD SCHOOL...nobody, or at least hardly anyone does minutes anymore.

It should get more expensive per session as you get into the higher end equipment, regardless of tanning time.

Also, you don't need to just sell single sessions but you shouldn't be selling "time". It costs you pretty much the same if the client tans for 5 minutes or if they tan 15 minutes, so they should all have to pay the same price because in the end, they are all getting the end result: A Tan. If you are known as the best salon with the best equipment it won't matter if you don't sell minutes (which you shouldn't, because your losing out on money!)

Have single sessions (priced the highest) and then sell packages of multiple sessions or "points" that can be used on all of your beds. Do a search on this site and you can find many posts about a points system.

If you are still selling minutes there is no way to advise you except to say that you need a complete new price structure, eliminating minutes.
