Re: Pricing a High Pressure Bed

As long as you are talking HP beds and pricing, we are looking at a new building to rent and we will be buying and HP bed. Can anyone out there give me a general idea on how many sessions per day/month you are doing during the busy season and is there quite a drop off in the slower season? It is an Ergoline 1050. We are thinking about 30 dollars per session. Also, can we get some advice on pkgs for this. Thanks ahead of time. Dan, Sun Room.
P.S. I would get rid of the point system as well. We get a lot of new ppl every year because they hate the point system at one our competitors.

We are well know in town for being the cleanest, friendliest salon with the newest and best running equipment.

Any help would be appreciated!!!

Level 1 100W Royal Sun Express 32 -
$50.00 for 100 min or $20.00 for a 20 minute session

Level 2 100W Royal Sun 38/3
$90.00 for 100 min or $18.00 for a 15 minute session

Level 3 160W Royal Sun 46/6
$120.00 for 100 min or $19.00 for a 12 minute session

Level 3 160W Royal Sun Focus 50
$120.00 for 100 min or $19.00 for a 12 minute session

OUR LEVEL 4 IS GOING TO BE A MATRIX L33 with a 12 min max so we were thinking something along these lines...

Level 4 Matrix L33
$175.00 for 100 min or $32.00 for a 12 minute session

WHAT DO ALL OF YOU EXPERIENCED SALON OWNERS THINK?
Stop selling minutes. Create a better price structure for all levels.

How much your HP system is used is based on pricing, packages and marketing, as is all levels of equipment.

Single session pricing on all of your equipment should be high. This is what establishes the value of tanning on that particular system. Never price single session that a person would want to purchase a single session. Now you can create different packages with progressively greater value leading up to the best value that is your EFT membership.

Customers that are not tanning at your salon. HP has it's own clientele best investment I have made for my salon. It also has had the best ROI.

There is more income generated on HP than any other equipment. It must be properly marketed but no salon should be without HP tanning.

tanning is a niche business and to eliminate any segment of a niche business is not a good idea.
