Rep Power: 23 | Only if................ Okay............I'm not asking what you charge for tanning, what you would if.................... You had no new bees trying to take over the tanning world. No run down joints with 40 year old beds No beauty salon owner just grabbing extra cash in the spring. Your only comp were good - well operated salons- as yours, with decent beds. Your answer should be based on your bottom line expense, lamp changes, and labor cost. (do not excude your labor as many do) I have always felt that an $8 cost for a base bed was fair. and that $60 for a month unlimited. (tho I get half that now). My highest is $15 for a 70 lamp bed. I have no HP - No more power at the store. Keep in mind your local and economy. |

I charge exactly what I want. My comp is fair, nice, and competent. We overall play fair with each other. We're getting good prices for our stuff. $8 100watt, $16 160watt, $24 mix beds, $32 HP. We get MSRP for lotions. Life is good. My comp is getting higher than MSRP for lotions. | |

In 3 months i've done a complete 180 with the salon however do still have 8-15 year old equipment. I was charging 30 for basic month and 60 for unlimited. i recently raised by $5 each and no customers are complaining. i also raised basics to $7 from $5 per session and supers are $13 from $10. That is where the customers are complaining. |

Rep Power: 20 | Re: Only if................ The whole premise of the $9. 99 stores is that you get everyone on an EFT; so you get $120 a year from everyone. If you have 2000 clients signed up, that is 24k a month, year round. This is NOT a new idea or a new business model. (I know Tony wants to think so). It is exactly the same model that the fitness industry and Netflix uses. Nothing new or innovative here. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Only if................ Our competition is STC and they are doing the $9.99/mth unlimited tanning in our city. I've looked at the STC prices in surrounding cities, and they are $19.99, so I don't understand the pricing being so different in similar cities. I'm actually surprised a franchise this large would devalue tanning like this, besides no way can they make money on this price no matter how many people sign up for it. My base beds are about the same as theirs, and I charge $18.95/mth, and only 3 mth min, instead of 1 year like STC. I'm sure they have alot of people will just let their card expire, or change the card, when they want to stop it anyway. |
