Rep Power: 21 | What are your idea for increasing sale. What are your idea of increasing sale for 2014. Reward program: each bottle of lotion you get 1.00 & packet .25 any tanning package. 1.00 for every 5.00 you can redeem . 1 Month unlimited tanning package: any bottle of lotion 50 % off. |

If you can get customers to buy a more expensive upgrade package then you could justify giving something away. Folks- giving things away and getting nothing in return will never increase your sales! |

For the last year the only special i even ran was giving them the first month of a 1 year agreement free if they bought a bottle of lotion at retail price higher then the first month and that only works because when you have them locked in for a year you know your getting no less then $240 from them even if you only charge $20 a month. Now of course giving you best clients(EFT) a little bit of a discount on lotion is going to help with sales a little bit just because of convenience of not having to wait for it to be mailed to them. |

Lost leaders for drawing new tanners to your salon for the first time is a different story. however what the tanners see when they get there is where changes are usually needed. just remember unless you have made substantial changes in your salon over what you were doing last year, you can only expect the same or even less positive results than last year. hoping for change or putting band aids on a situation will not help. look at the whole picture. The entire business model. what once worked well may not and probably will not work today. Salons that do well make changes every year. the things I see in many salons today are are so detrimental to business it is sometimes difficult to understand. Sometimes the most obvious mistakes are made regularly. I can't impress upon you enough that the proper changes and execution of changes can in most cases increase sales by 50% to over 100%. there is so much income being left on the table every day. | |

Rep Power: 20 | Re: What are your idea for increasing sale. If you have employees, messaging, tracking sales by employees and goal setting are big issues that will effect you sales left on the table. You have to look at what your employees are selling and why. Anyone can run a tanning salon, not everyone can sell. |

In the area were I am having 3 stores and in difference area the price point are difference and the client are difference,what work and sell at one location will not sell at another, same as lotion, no matter how many time you tell someone or show how to sell , show them how easy it is, they still are lazy, even if you paid them more money . In the mean time your bills are not getting paid. So trying something that work will bring in $$ like yesterday sale were over 1000.00, yes for a monday and the special I was running , was over sunday.you figure it out , we email our sale, face book them, put flyer up and still they waite until over.But guess what I got the word out and put the bug in there mind to tan and the weather being cold sure help out.All people do is look at price they not awear that beds are difference and lamps, lotion all together give them the best tan possiable, we have to teach them how to tan again. So price is alway a good point even when you see 50% off we all like to see that and want to know more , so when we go into the store the sale are all the way down in back of store, along the way is the beautiful, items they want us to see and maybe buy that plus the 50 % off. So we have to cater to all customers, the pie is not 100 % as a whole yes but leave no one out you might be losing a sale, and that my friend is were the word of mouth go. |
