You should always be looking for ways to set yourself part from your competition. I am already thinking about what touches I need to make before the season really gets rolling this year and what I want to do for next year. As we get into the later summer months, that is the best time to add things, buy used equipment that other people are trying to dump etc. |

Rep Power: 20 | Re: What have you done for 2014? Another salon operator doing well as a result of change. February 26, 2014 As of today we are up 53% from last year this time. In January and February we surpassed the 2013 total sales without including the EFT sales in 2014. So things are really booming. The cold weather has really helped, more importantly our reputation for having a clean salon with a different, more upscale feel has really brought in the business. Since you told us about the Facebook advertising our Facebook likes have gone from 230 to 332, that’s just in 6 weeks. I think we are also getting a good deal of business from just that advertising. |

Rep Power: 20 | Re: What have you done for 2014? I would not discount the idea of using other services to improve your tanning sales. We sell massage bed, redlight and spray tanning as add ons to our tanning packages. We get $10-30 extra for each add on service we sell. That means that we get an extra sale, it supports the total salon concept and it introduces your customers to these extra services at a price that they can afford. |
