I am just curious how everyone tracks inventory. At this point, we do not track inventory whatsoever.

Do you have employees do it? Managers only? Who reviews reports, etc.?

Do you use SunLync? We use it at our salon and it tracks everything....

Actually looking to get feedback on the processes people use. We use SalonTouch and it tracks everything just fine. I would just like to know the frequency of checks, who does it, what reports you print, etc.

We use Helios and my Asst Manager checks it every Tuesday and Friday
and gives me the report

Once a week in the slow season and once every two in the busy season.

Done by a supervisor or manager AND a different one each time. NEVER done by the same one two times in a row unless it's the me (owner).

Results are filed with all discrepancies reported by telephone immediately.

We do a complete inventory twice a day, morning and night. Keeps employees honest, because they know they're responsible for the inventory on their shift.

We do inventory every morning and either I do it or I have the manager do it.
