Rep Power: 0 | Re: The Importance Of HP Tanning. I use 3 different meters to measure the performance of my beds. One of those meters is a model 6.4 vitramin d3 meter. Both of my Hp beds are made by Sun Italia and you can go the max time of 12 mins in both beds on your first tan and every tan after. These beds read 120 on the meter. So assuming you are getting 100 percent body exposure a person would be getting 1200 IU/mins or 14400 IU in a session. My 100w base bed running midday suns also reads 120 on the meter. But a fair person would only start out at about 7 mins on their fist tan. This person is only getting 8400 IU in that session. Hp beds create more vitamin d than most people think plus you are not going to be over exposed. Your tan last alot longer and you only need a session a week to maintain your colour. Having said that I still trough in a few VHR tans a couple times a month just for the extra vitamin d. My vhr bed creates 2800 IU a min with 160 w beach sun reflectors. |
