Agreed, I think they should do away with them, and go to an entirely cash basis. Big brother would have one less way of keeping track of our income.

There is a salon near me that only charges cash. He has been open for 28 plus years and he does very well at this location.

I'd die here, with cash only. The students all use their school debit cards.

I do tottaly agree with you, if you need that 2%-3%, your prices are not structured correctly.
Don't need the 2-3%? What planet are you on? I am doing it. Customer have options if they do not like it. We encourage the use of cash or checks.

Hate AMEX it's almost 4% if you don't swipe it.
^This. I would prefer my customer's think I'm offering them a cash discount, rather then trying to nickel and dime them for a credit charge.
