Robbie's influence had already made it east of the Mississippi river by that point; I had to compete with $18.88 salons even back then!

The '90s were alot different from today.
I had 12 competitors all with decent stuff, and we were all busy.
Opened at 6am and closed at midnight, and had fun all day.

Today only 1 other salon here, and hours cut to 8am to 8pm, and no fun to speak of.
Still a great biz.

Spent 52K opening our first store in October. Made it back by May.

Started in 1986 w/5 SCA wolfe beds, and soon got rid of those, for 24 lamp Klaufsun Saturn beds. Added a heartland standup soon after. I had these beds as part of my video store. Great business combo.
