Re: last minute tanners We have always allowed tanners to tan for their normal time as long as they are in before closing. If someone walks in at 8:59, I will tan them, but as soon as I cut my "Open" sign off at 9, I ask them to come back tomorrow. |
Re: last minute tanners If you are in the door before we lock them, then you can tan. Otherwise, my computer is shutting down and everything is cleaned and we are out the doors. We have mirror tint and it's hard for customers to see in at night. |
Re: last minute tanners I saw a salon today...on their door, lettered, last tan taken 15 minutes prior to closing. Works for me or just change ones hours to if you're open til 8...chg to 7:45. This salon has 2 locations in town. Hours are only m-f 2-7 sign says "your minutes are allowed at our other location 7 days a week. Hmmm, why have 2 locations? |

I think if you didn't have time to come in and tan through out the day then why are you here right at closing. We have a client that pushes it almost every other night. It gets so annoying espically when you have 20+ rooms to vacuum and have don't get out of their till about 9:40 40 min after we close!! |
Re: last minute tanners The last person that tried to tan late at my salon got worked over. I grabbed her by the hair and slammed her head against the wall where the sign was and asked her" What does the sign say B**ch" Then I smacked her head on the exit door before I through her out on the sidewalk and told her to " Have a nice day" It worked and she never comes in late, actually I haven't seen her since, Hmm weird.. Seriously I take last tanners at 7:45, but always stay until 7:55 for late tanners. Lots of times they are single session payers. |

Re: last minute tanners We close at 8:00, we never get people wanting to tan at 8:00, our clients get that they must be done tanning by 8:00, we've never had an issue with that. |
Re: last minute tanners I'm not sure about other states, but here in Texas we are only allowed to put clients into tan once every 24 hours. If we allow them to tan later than we are open, they can't tan again the following day. That's why we won't put people in that won't finish until after closing time. |
Re: last minute tanners I always hated it when I call a restaurant & then tell me they close at 10pm & I get there at 9:35pm & they say we close are grill at 9:30pm. Then state that you close at 9:30 not 10pm. Closing time listed should always be the time that you are allowed to do Full sessions.... You could always be open later then the stated time & then say well we are technically closed but we can give you a reduced session. Our policy is if they make it in the door even if it is 10 minutes after because we forgot (or to busy) to lock the door, then they tan the full time. Employee's get paid until they clock out. If you have customers coming in why turn them away, even if the have a current package, sell them a lotion sample or upgrade. |
Re: last minute tanners had one last night, he called said he'd show in 15 mins and showed to minutes to 9pm ( close time) I gladly waited while he stood up and tanned for 7 minutes, i could not have been happier. |
