Re: email marketing

I have used constant contact for years. pretty easy to use, good reporting. Remember the average open rate is only 10%

I use icontact. Less expensive and equally good.

Re: email marketing

I know many salons that use constant contact. You can prepay for a year & do as many email blast as you like. They have 1000's of templates, very easy to use.

Re: email marketing

Just what it is. Think of all the emails you get a day, do you open everyone? some industries have higher or lower rates. I think constant contact gives a comparison of national averages for industries.

I sent out an email blast recently for a contest my salons are in. I got 20% open rate, but that was the highest one I have ever had. I emailed out to over 4k clients. Of that only about 50% actually clicked the link (which is crazy high)

Re: email marketing

delany,

so you sent out 4000 emails, of which 20% (800) were opened (we assume read), then of the those 800, 50% (400) clicked on the provided link?

Re: email marketing

yes...it was for a contest my salon was in and by voting they got a discount. I sent out a paypal special, only about 10% of those were open (the headline was "did you miss our groupon?") which only about 125 people bought the specials. Still REALLY good in the big picture, but I would have liked to have sold more.

Re: email marketing

Constant contact has never failed me. All their features are awesome. They also offer help with social media if you use that. They can also design a template for you.

I've been using mailchimp.com. It's been great.
