Rep Power: 0 ![]() | EFT Vacation Holds I have just started doing EFT's. I have a question to someone who has experience with it. One lady bought a membership; she said that she was not going to tan for a while, so I put her package on hold. Today is the first of the month, and her EFT withdrawal is due. But since her package is on hold, do I withdraw the money or not? She has not tanned even once since she bought her membership. And if I do not withdraw the money, what do I do when she comes? |

It's best to explain it in person instead of running her card and possibly dealing with the backlash when she sees the payment go through. I charge a $5 monthly freeze and my contracts state that any terminations/freezes must be done by the 25th of the previous month so I can adjust their EFT before it goes through on the 1st.

I've found in the past it's harder to try and track down those people, threaten them with collections and see them skip out on payments all together opposed to posting notes and balances owed on their account and then talking to them the next time they come in to tan. This busy season I am really focusing myself and staff on producing more EFT memberships. My staff will get incentives for signing people up and we go through a very specific process when explaining our memberships, checking id's of people and cross checking their credit card info. It never fails when a customer is trying to get out of a contract and says "I didn't know their was a cancellation fee/I wasn't aware I was supposed to cancel in person".
