Exclamation Do You Let Employees Do Red Light Free?

I am just now adding red light therapy to my salon and I am wondering what is the norm when it comes to employees, I give all my employees free UV tanning and 1 free airbrush per week... Do you give your employees free red light or at a discount?

I give it for free the way i see it they are the ones helping me upgrade the salon by selling they should be rewarded as well unless they abuse it.

Re: Do You Let Employees Do Red Light Free?

Employees should be using the best beds in the salon as they are the ones selling to your customers. What would you rather, your employees telling your customers that they got their ran in the Bottom Feeder® beds or in the top level HP? What do you think they will sell more of? They will sell what they use. Give them access for free to the best stuff in the salon if that is what you want them to sell to our clients and prove the results from it.

They will only sell well what they believe in. They are your advertisment.

Of course this goes for red light too and other products and high end lotions. If you want them to sell the best then let them use the best.

I'm getting ready to offer red light. With the cost of the bulbs being what they are I was considering putting a limit on how many times a week an employee can use the bed. I have one employee who tends to take advantage of the fact they get free tanning and reduced pricing on lotions. It is one of the perks for working in a salon but when they take advantage of you offering the perk it gets a little expensive.

The lamps will run for THOUSANDS of sessions! At the price you will be charging for Red Light, one employee that uses the heck out of it should NOT be a concern! Hopefully if they use the heck out of it they will be convinced it WORKS - and will sell that to your other customers!! If they do not - and they cannot sell - then hire someone else.
