What are your Business hours in the fall? - tanTALK

Since September is the slow season, what are your business hours in the fall & until January? Do you back off on your hours & open later in the morning & close earlier at night? I sure don't want to be open if no one is coming & I have to pay employees. That just makes the situation worse.

our hours are 9 am to 9 pm Monday through Saturday and noon - 7 pm on Sunday. These hours are year-round.

My philosophy is that if you are selling unlimited tanning packages, you have an obligation to be open when your members want to tan.

June and July are our slow months. Things pick up at the end of August when kids go back to school.

We don't change our hours for the season at this point. If anything I am going to have to look at being open later than I currently am if things keep up like they have been.

We keep our hrs the same year round. Changing hrs based on season is the old way of doing business in this industry.

Saturday 9-6
Sunday 10-5

**We are also more in the business district of town and so we open up earlier than most so we can catch the before work tanners. After about 7pm there isn't a lot of traffic by us, but we have seen an increase in people coming in right up to when we close. We are evaluating the possibility of being open until 9pm, but we will see. Also on the weekends, we don't have a lot around her going on since most of the businesses in my area are things like offices and dental clinics and such. Our hours work well for us though.

All of the cool salons stay open till 10:00
