Rep Power: 0 | Educational dvd on indoor tanning?? Iam wanting to put a flat screen tv in my waiting area and wondered if there was an educational dvd on the benefits of indoor tanning I could play while clients wait for there bed?? Thanks so much, |

(I checked out youtube.com and there were some "pretty good" videos on there, but most of them are only a couple of minutes long, which wouldn't work.) Educating your customers should be up-front and personal. Not thru some talking-head. Tanners want to get in-get out. Trust me, they will not sit there and be forced fed some video they perceive as a sales pitch, no matter how informative it may be. |

During the busy season we have people waiting for beds that usually read magazines we provide. I want to create something that advertises lotions and bed upgrades they can view while they wait. I don't expect then to stay focused on the screen, but I do expect them to glance at it from time to time. What I'd really like to do it tie it in to the Tmax so it can track bed state. When a bed is available it'd flash it on the screen and the price of upgrading to it in the hopes that those waiting would offer to pay the upgrade instead of waiting. |

If you use lots of great music, exciting visuals, etc., on a promo video it can be a fun and informative experience. Think of a music video about tanning! What a great idea, that's what I am looking for. Since our salon has a television, the LAST thing I want is to have Oprah on there yapping about something. I want to USE that to benefit my business anyway I can. Having a sharp, trendy music video type promo for lotions and/or services is just exactly what I am looking for. dongal | |

I have often thought of having lotion promos playing or something similar. I think a lot of people do not fully understand how tanning works and a GOOD video might help. Its probably a good idea to look at different videos and see what might work and try it. However I thoroughly believe it is the consultants job to educate clients. A video might be a good reinforcement tool and should not be the sole educator. You and your consultants should strive to be tanning and skin experts. Your clients will notice and it pays big dividends.

It's great awareness and marketing also. You get stuck with it on every phone call on hold these days. While you wait for the CSR, they play messages over and over about their marketing they run. | |
