Rep Power: 0 | AM I DOING GOOD OR BAD ? opened 4 months ago ... I have about 250 clients in my database and about 750 dollars in efts per month as of today.. I have a beautiful salon , ive invested over $100,000 . im just stressing on if we are ever going to do well ... are there salons out there that open their doors and do great? how long should i give it to determine if my salon will be successful in the years to come ? |

Rep Power: 25 | Re: AM I DOING GOOD OR BAD ? $6K is a VERY low breakeven for a salon in San Diego - and where you invested 100K! Does that include any payroll and/or money toward paying back the 100K? Or is that just rent and utilities? From your stress, I'm assuming you are NOT hitting the $6K/mo breakeven mark now. Of the 250 in your data base, how many have current packages (vs. came in, tanned, but haven't been back)? What else do you sell besides memberships? Are you still getting several new tanners each and every day? What are you doing to attract new customers? |

Rep Power: 23 | Re: AM I DOING GOOD OR BAD ? $8000 is still not a bad break even, Although the payroll is a little high. Remember your only open 4 months in the 2 or 3 being the worse time of the season. I suggest some time close to V-Day run a buy 1 and get 1 50% off . Try to lock in the spring tanners. I know of some salons paying close to 10k a month just in rent. |

Rep Power: 16 | Re: AM I DOING GOOD OR BAD ? i suggest you go to webstarts and start even a small website. This is pretty easy and it will bring in clients. link it to any websites that do reviews in your area. you can do a free setup of webstarts (to see if you like it) and it will run you less than 100 bucks (once you go forward) even if you buy local google ads (which i recommend) i get 6 to 9 hits a day and it helps getting people in the door.
