What point do you get to or how do you decide OK it is time to close the doors and give this up?????How do you come to that decision??

It is a personal decision. For some folks if the #s reach a certain low they will close, Others will close a business in order to free up time to take care of family.

There are many different triggers for many different people. I say when you don't want to do it anymore, it's time to get out.

It seems closings are becoming more and more frequent.

I would try to sell my business first. It's a tough economy but if your breaking even at least and your lease still hasn't expired put it on craigslist and see if you get any bites. Ask for proof of funds before u divulge any info. Only once your lease has expired or your loosing money should you up and close. If you want to try to sell you have to really offer your lowest price. Your biz is not worth what you paid for it or spent on it.
