Rep Power: 17 | Re: If you closed?? The salons that have closed around here have just closed up shop and left town. No refunds. It is not right, but it is what desperate owners do. The last one to close sold packages up to closing time at 7pm and and had the beds out the door by midnight. |

Rep Power: 19 | Re: If you closed?? I you have any relationship with one of your competitors, I would work with them to allow clients with existing packages to finish with them. This would give the other salon a great incentive to finish out any existing packages. |

Rep Power: 16 | Re: If you closed?? If I knew I would be closing, I would not continue selling packages. Yes, I would also try to work with a competitor. If you have to close and have no money though, what can you do? It's not like you can pay everyone back. |

Rep Power: 20 | Re: If you closed?? I would switch to unlimited tanning and sell memberships that expire on the day you plan on closing. This way nobody gets ripped off because there are no outstanding memberships. If you have packages outstanding, call a competitor and see if they will honour your packages for your clients. And if they do, give them your database.

Rep Power: 0 | Re: If you closed?? I bought several beds from a closed salon and would like to get her data base. Should I offer to give her clients the unused sessions? She said she was paying them back but one client tells me she hasn't seen the money. (It's been since July.) Only 2 of her clients have found me. I'm about 5 miles from her old salon. I can't advertise her business name of course in an ad. I'm just thinking about how to get her list (or at least the names who live within 3 miles of my salon) without paying too much. I want to be fair to her as well but I usually offer too much for things and end up losing out. Suggestions for a win/win situation? |
