I had someone who handled Sunday's, but he's gone now so I'm looking at working 3 Sundays a month. Have 4 PT gals working and between them I have most open and closing shifts covered and should only have to work behind the counter 2-3 afternoons a week and Sunday. I'll be in and out all day because I have to know what is going on here at all times. |

I have one employee that works 13 hours a week and that's all the help I have. I can't afford to pay for more help. I'm sure there must be more salons that are in my situation. Business has fallen off the last 2 years and in Oct. & Nov. I need to pay rent, electric, not help. Who else is in this boat? |

Just took 7 weeks off due to having my 1st baby I feel so blessed to have been able to do that. In the beginning I would have never been able to do that... I worked, worked and worked!! Now my new schedule is mon-wed 9-4 thurs & fri 9-2 and wed & thurs spray tans I will return in the evening to do for 1 to 2 hours and no weekends unless an emergency. Now things will probably change once busy season comes back around we shall see!

I work 5 days opening until either 3 or 6 (depending) I have one gal that starts massage school next month so I am not replacing her to save some $$$ at this time of the year (we are seeing only like 40+ per day and we can handle that with one person)
