After going through 2 hrs. of training on the recurring billing program with a bank employee, I realized that my bank will only accept checking or savings account info when all the contracts only had credit and debit account information. Probably something I should have tried to check into more, but at the time the bank didn't forsee that issue either. Lesson learned. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: EFT Novice Only do debit and credit. If you do checking and it bounces your bank will charge you for a bad check. And, even if you add that fee to the clients NSF account in hopes that they will cover it, chances are you will never see that customer again. We learned that the hard way. |

You will need to get a second merchant acct for it and they do all of them at one flat rate rather than 1 2 or 3 tier or whether it is credit or debit. Doesnt matter. I also tell my clients that and they tend to feel more comfy that we run it in house and not through a third party. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: EFT Novice It also depends on which salon software you are using. We use tan track but found out later that it is really hard to do a checking account. Tan track works with pc charge well, but we would have had to use another company to process checks. In the end it was just a pain so we only take credit and debit. Most people who have a checking account have a debit card. |
