Tan Tax Signage

Does anyone have any ideas how we should explain this new tan tax to our customers? Are you making signage? What should it say? I don't want them to get a bad taste in their mouths :(

Re: Tan Tax Signage

I just feel we may have some resistance from EFT members we may have not seen in some time, We always say that their price is locked in and won't change. Well the price HASN'T changed, just the govt. mandated tax was tacked onto it. I just plan on taxing it when we run them and if they have a problem with it they can cancel and pay the $30+ more per month PLUS the additional 10% tax.

Not sure why the tan tax is not domiating every thread on this site??? I am appauled. I still wonder if there is any legislative hope this tax will not be applied. I know Obama signed the bill today but is there any hope with the "reconciliation" piece that this tax will die? Nothing on the ITA website which is a disappointment.

Re: Tan Tax Signage

I think it's a done deal. Here in CA. people are use to almost 9% tax in most things
they buy. I don't think it's a business killer. What will kill us is the Smart Meters
coming our way. Add 30% to 70% more to your electric bills.

It wasn't the first time, but I had the privilege of explaining the tan tax and the 3/25 meeting to a client yesterday.

She was very upset- but NOT AT ME! She is laid off from the pharm industry. We have had conversation on that one too- She knows the corruption firsthand.

I am not as sweet as most of you. I have already told them " Your A****** democratic congressmen and your Leftist President decided that YOU should be singled out among the millions of other consumers to pay a fee for something that you enjoy. I apologize that it will cost you more, and promise that I will continue to fight this."
