Molly,

Spray tanning in general is really not hard at all. It just takes a little practice to get good at it. Can be learned very quickly. What it appears that you are offering is a soup to nuts consultation where someone hires you to train them how to spray, how to set up the business, how to run it, how to advertise, what systems to use, etc... Am I correct?

Well the actual training on how to spray is the easy part. The harder part is the actual running of the business. Plenty on here post evidence that they have zero clue on how to actually run a business. What is it you are actually offering? Will you be flying out to personally train and set up someone? Find the location? Negotiate the lease? Pull the demographics? Offer training in business management? Help them write a business plan?

...or...

Will you be making a packet or video that they can just purchase that shows what you did and documents your success? Will your formula work anywhere?

Training is always welcomed in any industry, that is a given and you probably could be successful selling your formula to many that can't put two thoughts together and need to be spoon fed everything.

Now we move on to pushing this on this site. It is a fine line to ask the questions that you are. If you are going to continue to probe this avenue on this site then you need to make a decision as to which direction you will be going. If you decide to start a consulting firm and discuss it on this site then you will need to become a sponsor.

You can contact the advertising department on this site and buy a banner and then discuss this to your hearts content. You can even sponsor your own forum where newbies can contact you and also discuss in your forum all about your brand of salon operations and provide them with what it takes to become successful.

This will need to be decided to further discuss this topic on this site.

This site is free for all to come and ask questions and discuss topics but it is restricted when it comes to soliciting business from. You made $90K in three months then you can certainly afford to pony up some advertising money to further discuss your venture.

Contact the advertising department, buy a banner, and sell your services on here. The only way you will know if it is viable is to try. If you truly have the magic formula then it is a no brainer. Go for it.

You have not discussed what it is so you are apparently trolling for clients to sell it to on here and that will not happen for free although you are welcomed to offer it in full for free to all to read but then you will not benefit but then there will be no spam violation as you will just be offering advice like the other twelve thousand members here do for free. They are not profiting from it directly but just exchanging ideas.

What will you be offering us today? Advertising money or free advice to all?
Hi Brian,
That's what I'm talking about...good, brain picking questions! I don't know the exact specifics of what I will be offering which is why I am looking for help. I understand spam rules, I just don't feel that I am breaking them when I don't even have a business, just an idea. I honestly don't have a company and I'm not looking for clients yet, I'm not interested in trying to take anyone's money or earn clients when I don't even have a plan together for them. If I am going to do something, I am going to do it right with a plan. The first step is always research and that is what I was trying to accomplish here.

I thank you greatly for your level headed advice. The questions you posed help me to think this through better and I appreciate them. For example, will I help with business plans, flying out, etc...all excellent questions and heck yes, I want to show people how to succeed, so whatever I have to do to do it, I will! I've just got to figure it all out.

So, for now, I will keep doing research and make sure I adhere to the rules of the forum! Thank you again!

Found your info very helpful. by chance did you buy from ebay user "tampabaytan"? They have great feedback and seem to have a VERY affordable unit. Thanks

Re: Thinking of Adding Spray Tanning

I just pulled it. I didn't find I made enough money at it to make it worth my while, nor worth the headaches. Others I know have done really well with it though
