So what's the question ?
All lamps produce both UVA and UVB. There are hundreds if not thousands of lamps that produce light with varying degrees of output of BOTH UVA and UVB. Everyone has the same amount of melanocytes, UVB stimulates those melanocytes to produce melanin which is the pigment that tans when exposed to oxygen and UVA.

Different skin types produce melanin at different rates but nevertheless we all have the same amount of melanocytes unless a pre-existing medical condition determines otherwise (mutations or deformity).

Please educate yourself properly on the medical device that you're going to be offering your clients. Many of us have seen way too many nail/hair salons IRRESPONSIBLY provide UV services.

Not trying to knock you, but 7 years in a tanning salon hasn't served you well enough. Get SmartTan certified.

I AM smarttan certified fyi. And I'm not irresponsible when it comes to tanning equipment either. I can't believe a simple question on this forum has turned into such a big ordeal. Grow up people.

Just trying to help you and out and make sure you're doing the right thing. You can get MORE money for your sessions by knowing MORE about your equipment and tanning in general. Instead of just trying to bring new nail clients, why don't you use a tanning bed to get more TANNING clients?? There's a novel idea...

Could be because I only have 325 sq ft to do all my work in and don't want the bed running constantly if I can help it.

Re: Need help with pricing in a new state

Apparently you didn't read the whole thread...the tanning bed is being used to draw more nail clientelle, not necessarily to make money. As long as it breaks even, it's good. So now you can say you have heard it ! ;)

Then just charge a buck a tan. You don't seem to care so why should anyone else? I can't believe you even started the post.
