Re: Co-Pay

Co-pay is more for people who dont have that $115 for a unlimited level 4 but do have $20-$25 and a few dollars each time they tan.

co-pays are not like upgrades because a upgrade is a session in a higher level than u originally bought.

if a client buys a co-pay month they are getting single visit prices for less for 1 month.

my upgrades and my co-pays are the same price to stop confusion

in my experience people who buy copay are:
1) cliients who dont have the unlimited cost up front
2) clients that are unsure how often they will come if they do unlimited
3) clients who like to use all the machines or whatever is available
4) clients who do singles (they come more once on a co-pay, seems less exspensive)
5) clients who see my 1 month $25 advertisements all over town

co-pay fees make up most of my daily sales in season. if everyoine was on unlimited there would be alot of $0 days..i like to hear my cash draw work

Regarding points...

We are switching to points next month. EFT members will not be able to use points for upgrades. They will still need to pay an upgrade fee.

"We have a really unique plan called the Pay As U Go plan. The way this plan works is you pay $XX and in return you will get 30 days of 50-60% off single session rates. This plan has several benefits for clients. First, you don't have to come up with a large amount up front. You can pay a little as you go. Secondly, you are ONLY paying for what you are using. Traditional monthly plans require that you pay a certain amount, regardless of whether you tan 3 times or 20 times over the course of the month. If for some reason you are unable to come in one week, you won't feel like you have lost any money because you will have paid nothing that week."

"Also, this plan allows you to utilize all of the equipment which is actually the best way to achieve the best tan."

I know that there are other things that we say to promote this plan to clients, but this is all I can think of off the top of my head. Hope this helps!

Our co-pay is probably our most popular plan. It has cut down drastically on our montly unlimited abusers.
BINGO! Pay as u go is my name! lol

I tell clients if you buy a unlimited and tan 30 times it cost you $85 if you tan 2 times it still cost you $85. with the unlimited you controll the price!

EXACTLY!!! To me, unlimiteds and minutes should both be banned from ever being used again! Sessions, points, co-pay...all great options!

Re: Co-Pay

Thanks for the input aeltiger.

CTM and aeltiger- did you increase the price of your unlimited to deter it, when you brought on co-pay?

Hey Unity-
You just switched to points, right? Do you allow EFT members to use points towards upgrades?

Re: Co-Pay

^^I haven't implemented co-pay yet. Still reading posts and looking into it a little more.

As far as the $paid per tan- I would put it at 1/2 single rate.

Re: Co-Pay

We use to do copays 10 yrs ago. It was good back then we didn't have all these crazy menues. I guess it all depends in the area you are from and if you have the chains around you. If you do have chains people will think your price is high.
