Has anyone else had a slow September? Our busy season here is usually March-August, Spetember starts our slow season. Right now we are tanning about the same amount of people as last year but our sales are no where near as high. Is this the same for anyone else?

Our slow season generally starts in July. You are very lucky if yours started this month. Indeed, sales are certainly off this year. I am glad to say that September sales are fairly consistent with last year, but slighly lower than 2007.

We started out better than last year, which last year was better than 2007, but July and August started getting progressively worse. September has been really bad as far as sales go. Im not sure how to increase business.

The best ;) part about slow time, I had my last customer at 5:30 and now with 15 minutes until closing time someone walks in wanting a 20 minute tan...part of their package so no cash and I get to stay late. AWESOME

Same kellybug. I think I've tanned a few MORE customers than last Sept., but package/memberhsip sales are down.

september for my store has been picking up gradually from what august was and august was horrific...october should see somewhat of a boom,how has everyone elses octobers looked in the past?

As always..tanning season starts out like a lion and goes out like a lamb. Money is still consistent with in season as we postured ourselves 3 years ago with solo spa services, rentals and products to carry us through the slower sunning time. (can't stand those words anymore.... "off season")
