Rep Power: 16 | Co-Pay I think I'll have to call outside of our area to see what the going rate for co-pay is. No one in my immediate area offers them. How do co-pays effect your monthly unlimiteds or EFTs? Do you offer all? (co-pay/unlimited/EFT) Are co-pay fees always the same price as your upgrade fee? (1/2 amount of single) I like the idea of people walking in expecting to make payment. There are some EFTers that only bring their wallet/purse in when they are out of lotion or want to upgrade. But otherwise don't intend on spending anything.

Rep Power: 46 | Re: Co-Pay 1 sell co pays as follow 1 month for $25 (sell alot) 3 month for $50 (sells good) 6 months for $75 (dont sell many which is fine with me) i also sell unlimited months in all levels..copay has put a decrease in unlimited months. but im fine with that also. stops unlimited abuse and usually creates more income than the unlimited per customer. i have it priced so after about 12-13 visits in a month the client is spending alot more than unlimited level 3 example.. 12 visits x $5 = $60 + sign up= $85 my 12 visit package is also $85 and my biggest package i have customers that come in and after a tour want level 3 or 4, after we go over the unlimited price.($85/$115) some of them dont feel comfortable with that amount. Then we show them the co-pay with fees and they buy it. 90% of the time the client spends more this way. its a alternative that creates a sale in most cases. not many of my co-pay clients use level 1. most use level 2 or 3..few use level 4. most my level 4 clients are in visit packages anyway. i have 1 lady that in season spends $7 almost everyday on her level 4 fee..this generates around $200 a month, when unlimited is $115. shes got $7 a day cause she works at dunkin donuts and uses tip money..she dont have $115 at once! my fees are the same as my upgrades. which are not 1/2 a single(except lev 4)..this is basically my areas pricing on upgrades level 1 is only $2 (but most do unlimited at $45) $8 single level 2 is $3 (good amount) $10 single level 3 is $5 (most) $12 single level 4 is $7 (good amount) $14 single we also allow and encourage clients to pre pay so they dont need to bring cash everytime and we dont need to swipe credits for small amounts...most do this. we try to keep the co-pay active by offering early renew discounts. hope this helps oh and i dont do EFT. Im thinking of adding a $9.99 eft with co-pay..i dont think anyone would cancell...so cheap

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Co-Pay We do -PAY PER VISIT- $25. 30 day membership. $50. for 90 days......... Pay per visit rates- level 1 $3. level 2 $8. level 3 $16. These are 50% off single visit prices as well as = to best priced pkg for visits, ie 10 visits level 3 (high pressure) $160.00...10 visits level 2 $80. ..we don't make that much more on the level 2-3 but it gets tanners in the bigger beds, who otherwise wouldn't spend the money for a single session. We do make quite a bit more on this pkg vs. unlimited = $35. Like CTM said, it works great for service industry employees as well as students. We do / encourage prepays as well. No efts I do contests with employees to push and sell this membership and double the commission rate for the high seller..... We also offer clients 25% off product at sign up. |

Rep Power: 16 | Re: Co-Pay Maybe nix the unlimiteds to go co-pay. I am the only one who does unlimited here so I don't see clients leaving over it. How do you present/sell the co-pay package to the client- your verbiage?

Rep Power: 17 | Re: Co-Pay I hate my unlimited and I do not do co-pays. $40.00 level 2 and $60.00 level 3 when visits are 10 and 15 a piece. Seems like the only people buying unlimited pkgs are tanning 3 - 4 times a week which is making me a few bucks a tan. however we are killing the competition but killing myself in the process. I have thought about switching to co-pay and charging 20.00 per month plus 3 and 6 bucks each tan but after many years in biz I know it will lose customers. When I open another location I will most likely do only co-pays and rid myself the headache in the future. |

Rep Power: 46 | Re: Co-Pay i offer both. i let the client decide what 2 buy. like eggy says sell em what they want! if they frown at the larger unlimited price i point out the co-pay. i call it "Pay as u go" i tell the clients it all depends on their tanning habits or needs. ive said things like the more you tan the more it costs the less you tan the less it cost if you feel you might not come alot on a unlim go with the pay as u go if you dont have the $$ for the more exspensive unlim then go with the co-pay if your not sure what level you want go with the co-pay if you like to use the whole salon go with the co-pay and even if your going 2 tan more than 12 times a month go with the unlim every conversation is different im honest with my customers and alot of times i have them spend less than they expected...im often complimented on it! my customers come back season after season.thank god
