Re: pregnant tanning

Unity I don't have the time to look for it. Find me information where it says spray tanning has arsenic, lead and mercury and then I should be able to quickly find it. This airbrush scare started a few years ago by a report on ABC saying you get lead, arsenic and mercury from spray tanning . When it was further investigated they found it was in the water and that you get more toxins from a long hot shower than from a spray tan .
Lets not be crazy here and start bashing spray tanning like tanning is bashed. A lot of us make a lot of money from it. Let's focus on just bashing the spray tan companies that bash tanning. Bashing spray tanning is like shooting ourselves in the foot.

Re: pregnant tanning

I would likely refuse a customer for such a practice, in all good concionce I am not sure that it is the best idea.

Re: pregnant tanning

Read your smart tan books! Read Solar Power! Read UV advantage. Read on www.vitamindcouncil.org. Read all the articles out there about vitamin D.

Nothing wrong or harmful with tanning and being pregnant. There are 4 concerns. Number #1 is watching the body temperature. All beds are regulated to stay under 100 degree. (Beds with AC are great!)
#2 The risk of falling getting in and out of the bed due to weight shifting and getting off balance.
3# Can be uncomfortable lying on back…the same as lying in a bed at home. So stand-ups are good or beds with low tan times like 8 min.
#4 Mask.. Because hormones are high they can get brown spots which may or not go away after pregnancy. This happens weather they are tanning or not.

Pregnant women can tan. The vitamin D they get can help them and the baby. Doctors are now doing vitamin D test on pregnancy women because autism is linked to vitamin D deficiency. Pregnant women with higher levels of vitamin d have less preeclampsia.

I agree with that, we are disputing spray tanning however. NEVER SPRAY CHEMICALS ON PREGNANT WOMEN!!!
