Rep Power: 19 | Annual Memberships - To Offer or Not to Offer! In a recent look at our statistics, two of our Annual members are now up for renewal. They are both level three tanners and their average PCA was 2.56 each. Based upon this, I am reluctant to offer the Annual option. Do you offer Annual memberships? If so, what do you see as Pros, and Cons? |

Rep Power: 16 | Re: Annual Memberships - To Offer or Not to Offer! We don't offer a paid in full upfront annual. I will assume that's what you mean. Wow- that's a low PCA. What is the price of the annual? You will always have those few that really use them and others who don't. Question is- Do you have enough people who don't use it, to offset the abusers.

Rep Power: 19 | Re: Annual Memberships - To Offer or Not to Offer! That is correct. The full upfront annual is the option in question. The price of the annual was $375. We only have about (6) people on full upfront annual. |

Rep Power: 16 | Re: Annual Memberships - To Offer or Not to Offer! To have a PCA that low- those tanners are in your salon a lot and not purchasing add ons. You or your staff should be able to build quite a relationship with clients that come in that frequent. Lots of missed opportunity to sell. Maybe try being more suggestive/talkative- but don't overkill.

Rep Power: 46 | Re: Annual Memberships - To Offer or Not to Offer! i used to sell yrs and 6 months. i had a few grab it but i pulled it off the price sheet when economy stuff started and replaced those slots with new 1 and 2 week unlimiteds(which have worked great) the clients who bought my years..where the ones who tanned non stop..the 1yr unlimited is a good package for the tanner NOT the owner...in most cases. Now most those clients are buying fee based years and spending more. 1 i recall went to 3 months unlimited continuosly

The problem is that it is all one sided. They are simply unwilling to spend a DIME more than they paid for the annual tanning package. | |

Rep Power: 16 | Re: Annual Memberships - To Offer or Not to Offer! Try giving them a free sample of something new and hot right now. Even if it's not new. Tell them people are getting massive color from XXX lotion. Lead the conversation and really hype it up. The people who tan that often want to be the darkest possible. If all your clients are not like this, I would not worry about it. There probably are enough not using their unlimiteds to off set these couple.

Rep Power: 19 | Re: Annual Memberships - To Offer or Not to Offer! We are a cash flow business! Do you want $375 today, or maybe get $500 over a 12 month period? What happens if the customer moves away or decideds to stop tanning. Give me the $375 now! Next, do a better job selling lotion or upgrades once a week to create more revenue

Rep Power: 15 | Re: Annual Memberships - To Offer or Not to Offer! If you've only got 6 tanners on the year membership, it's CRUCIAL for you to be able to upgrade. Having said that, when your tanners KNOW how much they're spending on tanning per year, it's much harder to upgrade them. They figure for $375 that should be all the tanning they need, and I don't blame them. On the other hand, if those clients were to sign up on an EFT that ended up being the same price, they would be more likely to upgrade because instead of thinking "I paid almost $400 for tanning" they're thinking "well, it's only costing me $30 per month, why not?" |
