I need something to boost sales, but also @ the same time to boost our morale???

Yes we have played Bingo, and we are going to do like a lotion of the week or whatever. But is there any other creative fun thing that we can do to keep the morale up???

i do beat the boss! my employees try to beat my monthly PSA every month...if they do they get a amex gift card plus the comis

Yes we do offer commision. Actually 10%, plus a commision structure that is based on PPCA. They have the ability to double there commision if there PPCA is high enough. I just think the girls expect that, so I was trying to think of a game or contest with a small reward to keep the excitment up!

I like the idea of "beat the boss". However, since I have two salons and are finishing our expansion on one of them, I am only in each salon about 2 days a week. I guess if it was on PCA though, it wouldn't matter. Good Idea! Any others???

One of the most successful ones for us was I took the highest priced lotion in stock and said whoever sells the most ($125) this month will get a day off with pay. I plan on doing it again this year in November.

I'm assuming that product is Omega, Eileen?? Do you set a minimum? For instance, whoever sells the most, but it must be a minimum of 5 bottles.

We did something like that this month with EFTs. Whoever sells the most EFTs gets a Amex Gift Card. However, I think the most that anyone sold was 2. Everyone else sold 1 or 0. Next time, I will set a minimum of 5 or something because nobody really tried to win. IT just so happened that someone sold 2 EFT plans.

Our biggest problem is getting people to stay excited and motivated about winning contests. We have them from time to time, but the excitement fizzles out by the end of the first week. I could offer $250 and it still wouldn't create excitement. If it was me, I would be busting my tail to win. Any extra money/gift cards at this time would be great! :)

I had no minimum. Yes it was alpha and omega. It was perfect timing because everybody likes some time off around the holidays while still getting paid for it. :)

If you pay 10% on all revenue, plus bonuses for PPCA, I say you should play a game called "Beat Feet", where under performing employees are asked to "Beat Feet" and get the **** out of my salon.

If you're looking for a way to boost sales, consider passing some incentives on to the client instead of the employees. Run a "once in a while" special every 6 or 8 weeks to get clients excited.

If you're employees "expect" more than you're giving them, it's time to find new employees. JMO
