Rep Power: 0 | Finger Scanners? So some of my employees have been tanning clients under other names because they say "something" happened to the computer and it didn't work, so they will tan the client under an employee. This isn't a problem unless the employee wants to come in and tan on the same day. I was thinking about eliminating this problem and getting a finger scanner. Is this being too drastic? Any thoughts? |

Rep Power: 46 | Re: Finger Scanners? do whatever u gotta do to prevent theft. thing to consider would be how your clients feel about the fingerprint scanning.. other option would be key tags sometimes my helios dosent send time to the tmax but it deducts the session from the client..myself and my employees would then use a employee or free tan as to not deduct a 2nd session from the member...this got confusing so i made a code called timer error...now when i see that i can easily figure out what happened do u have surveillance?

Rep Power: 46 | Re: Finger Scanners? then i dont think the scanner is the answer...from what i understand its the same as the tag..u scan your thumb and the clients profile pops up. dont make a account as timer error make it a sales code...make the code instantly turn any bed on.

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Finger Scanners? It's not the same as a tag, tags can be given away like a key to your house. Finger verifies the person is who they say they are. We use the finger scanner with no problems at all. A few people have weak prints and we have to use the employee code for them. There are three benefits that I like about it. 1. Clients can't scam your employees. One friend tells another that she has a valid package and just to say her name or gives a friend her tag, that is eliminated with the need for the finger. 2. Employee Clock in and Out can't be cheated. Maybe one emp. is late and has another clock them in on time. That is eliminated. 3. Employee's friend comes in, employee types in a client with a big package and tans friend under other client. (Steals from an unknowing client) It also forces accountability when their emp code is used because they can't say it wasn't them. Plus we audit all emp code use by randomly checking on the camera system via time and date. We have a log book for Emp code use. Everytime they use their code for other than themselves they log it. Daily sales report flags emp codes so they are easy to see. This all assumes your timer security code is unknown to your staff. |
