Client Survey's

Does anyone do client survey's? If so, what are a few questions that you ask?

I am looking at putting this in place due to some feedback from a few clients. We have several employees, most of whom are great but some are really starting to slack off on customer service skills and cleaning skills. I think that b/c we are getting slow, they think that they don't have to put forth a lot of effort. My business partner thinks that this will create more harm than good. I tried explaining to her that this could be very helpful feedback to see what our strong points and weak points are. Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Client Survey's

Ask clients about the staff, hours, prices, services, cleanliness, improvements you could implement, what they like about your salon, etc. *Every aspect that they encounter when coming into your salon.

We've done this twice and recieved amazing feedback. I offered a free tan for them taking the time to fill it out. If they wanted the free tan, they of course had to disclose who they were. Some took the free tan and others did not.

I laid a survey on each bed after cleaning with a pencil and there was a box in the hallway for them to be dropped into after tanning. I surveyed for a week long each time I did it.

www.SurveryMonkey.com is a great e mail survery generator. If do not want to send it to your entire database, handpick - People are far fair with their comments when its done in shoppe. If it is your employees your really trying to get the skinny on - secret shop them. Ive mentioned it before - you might be surprised. Our secret shops start on the outside of the shoppe with an observation.

Here is the survey I used in 2005. That was the last time I have surveyed.

I've also been using Constant Contact for email marketing. They have a survey program too.

Check out www.rateourstaff.com

We're beta testing their service right now, and I can tell you someone should have thought of this a long time ago.

Re: Client Survey's

I have a professionally done place card in a holder on the wall in each room that is switched out on each shift by the cleaner. I get mostly good comments and a few that have issues that we can talk about at meetings. I reward cleaners that get all good ones or no issues for the month. They always worry when the place card is gone out of the room (keeps them on their toes. It says......

CAUTION! Tanning beds may cause extreme relaxation!

Welcome to my tanning room! My name is ___________________. I take GREAT pride in preparing your room so that it is safe, comfortable, pristine and ready for you to enjoy your tanning experience. If your room is not everything you expect or if I have overlooked something please notify me right away by activating the intercom. You may also feel free to drop this card in the front drop box for my owner if you have any comments or suggestions that will make your experience better. I look forward to seeing you again.
